The Swansea Public Schools is extremely excited to offer you the opportunity to review your child's attendance and/or term grades on-line. Imagine having the ability to evaluate your child's term grades before the hard copy arrives home or monitor his/her attendance! The portal is another method in our efforts to increase the means of communication and transparency between the Schools and you the stakeholders. The information being delivered through the portal is Phase I of our communication goals. Joseph Case High has a new technology lab in room 202. The lab is equipped with 21 new workstations, a mounted smartboard and projector, smart response interactive devices, and document camera.
![]() New Technology Additions to Our SchoolsHere is some exciting news:
The District has just purchased Senteo handheld interactive response devices. These wireless remotes will enable teachers immediate assessment and insight on how the class is comprehending the lessons being taught. To further enhance the 21st Century Technology integration each school will also be receiving a document camera device. This interactive camera will bring any document alive by displaying the pages on a smartboard. The document camera gives all students the ability to view documents and gives teachers the ability to annotate information displayed. The High School: ![]() Case High School will be opening a new 21st Century Technology Lab equipped with 21 workstations, Smart Board Technology, document camera, and Senteo devices. This lab will be used to enhance the integration of technology in all curricula. Technology in the Swansea SchoolsTechnology is an integral component of educating our students in the 21st Century.The goal of the Swansea Technology Department is to create and support technology rich learning environments for the students of Swansea. The department is dedicated to supporting the district vision, to serve and provide the instructional techniques that foster the 21st century skills and knowledge our students will need through the seamless implementation and integration of technology.
The Technology Department plans, implements and maintains the network infrastructure for the six schools located in the Swansea School District. In addition, the department assists teachers in integrating technology tools into the curriculum.
